What is HIPAA

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA ) is a federal law designed to safeguard and secure your Protected Health Information (PHI) while permitting healthcare providers to access pertinent healthcare information.

HIPAA Security Rule

BlueJeans meets applicable technical specification and requirements for the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of PHI under the HIPAA security rule, which requires covered entities and business associates to protect patient health information by using the appropriate administrative, physical, and technical safeguards to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of this information. BlueJeans also has a Business Associate Agreement that it will enter into with covered entities to help meet the needed assurances regarding the use of PHI.
