Pre-visit Experience
The Web Embed SDK with telehealth offers you the ability to customize our branded, pre-visit experience, that guides patients through a check-in and waiting room process similar to what they would encounter at an in-person visit.
Patient Landing Experience (PLE)
The Web Embed SDK with telehealth gives you the ability to customize the Patient Landing Experience that offers a branded pre-visit workflow to patients when joining a televisit.
Customization capabilities of the Patient Landing Experience include; welcome text on the landing screen, background color, organization’s logo, providers image, messaging on the entertainment screen, and articles and videos for patients to view while waiting for the provider.
PLE Screens
While going through the Patient Landing Experience, patients will encounter a three screen workflow while waiting for their provider to join the visit.
When a patient or other participants goes through the Patient Landing Experience, there are two options a provider has for getting the visit started.
- If the visit is waiting room enabled, the patient will remain within the patient landing experience until the provider explicitly brings them in from the waiting room.
- If the visit is not waiting room enabled, then the visit will commence the moment the provider joins the visit, regardless of where the patient or other participants is within the check-in or entertainment screens.
The screens within the Patient Landing Experience include;
- Landing Screen: This is a pre-meeting screen and the first place the patient will land after clicking their link to the visit. On this screen, patients or other participants can see a welcome message and details of the appointment (date, time, provider name, and provider image if applicable). They can also check their audio/video settings ahead of starting the visit. Once ready, they will click to start the check-in process OR choose to skip-check in if they are not the patient. This will initiate the start of the visit. If the participant chooses the skip-check-in option, they will automatically bypass the check-in screen and land on the entertainment screen until the provider has joined.

- Check-in Screen: On this screen, patients have the option to detail any health concerns, symptoms or other items they may want to review with their provider. Similarly, patients will also have the ability to live capture or upload existing images to share with their provider during the visit.

- Entertainment screen: When the patient clicks “next” on the check-in screen, or if another participant chose “skip check-in i am not the patient” on the initial landing screen, they will be brought to the entertainment screen. This is the last step in the check-in process and where any participant will remain until the provider joins the visit or brings them in from the waiting room. On this screen patients or other participants will have the ability to review any information or images they added during check-in and given the option to review any resources the organization has provided in the articles/videos section.
